1:25,000 scale 1977-1972 Snipatuit Pond – Wareham; 1977-1974 Plympton – Plymouth, Mass, USGS Topographic Quadrangles
Weweantic River Island Photographic Essay
Ultra-fine black marker pen
Magnifying glass

Exercise:

1. Review the Weweantic River Photographic Essay. Note locations of each picture taken and the habitat description for each photo.

2. Using the 1995 Weweantic River Aerial Photograph, the Colored Habitat overlay, and the Weweantic Photographic Essay, identify habitats locations on the 1:25,000 scale 1977-1972 Snipatuit Pond – Wareham; 1977-1974 Plympton – Plymouth, Mass USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

3. Use the topographic map at the front of the Photographic Essay to match a picture from the Photographic Essay with each of the habitats on the overlay. Write the picture number from the Photographic Essay that corresponds to the one of each of the habitat type. Write the name of the identified habitat near the corresponding picture number.
