Materials:

1:24,000 Cape Hatteras-Buxton Topographic Map
(1) 1980 shoreline overlay generated in Technique 2, Element 1
(3) overlays generated from Skill 1, Element 6
Drafting tape

Exercise:

1. Use the three (3) clear film "Shoreline" overlays generated in Skill 1, Element 3 and the one (1) clear film "1980 Shoreline" overlay generated in Technique 2, Element 1.

2. Layer the overlays over top of each other.

3. Tape the four (4) overlays on top of the 1:24,000 Cape Hatteras-Buxton Topographic Map.

4. You have created a manual GIS of 4 GIS data layers of shoreline change,

But how many different shorelines have you mapped?
