emergent marsh vegetation in the distance is a Spartina patens
with darker channel bordering Spartina alterniflora salt marsh.
The darker strip of wetland scrub-shrub of wax myrtle and Iva
is slightly higher elevation than the floor of the high marsh. The
lighter brown and green vegetation in the foreground is higher
and drier Upland range of grasses and some shrubs. Looking east.
