Technique 1:        Area Measurement
Element 2:            Area of Study Site

 Materials:
           1999 Aerial Photograph
            scale calculation (from Skill 2, Element 2)

Exercise:

            1.   Use the scale calculated for the 1999 aerial photography (Skill 2, Element 2).

            2.      Calculate the area in acres of the study site.

              Hint:   Follow the same procedures from Technique 1, Element 1

            3.      Compare your area calculations of the study area on the 1999 aerial photograph with the area calculated in Technique 1, Element 1.
