Exercise:

1. Review the Mono Lake photographic essay.  Note locations of each picture taken and the habitat description for each photo.

2. Using the 1999 colored Land Cover map and the Mono Lake Photographic Essay, identify habitat location on the topographic map.

3. Use the topographic map at the front of the photographic essay (showing photo locations) to match a picture from the Photographic essay with each of the habitats on the overlay. Write the picture number from the photographic essay that corresponds to one of each of the habitat types.Write the name of the identified habitat near the corresponding picture number.
