Exercise:
- Review the Indiana Dunes Photographic Essay. Note locations of each picture taken and the habitat description for each photo.
- Using the 2005 Indiana Dunes aerial photograph, the 2005 Colored Habitat overlay, and the Indiana Dunes Photographic Essay, identify habitats locations on the 1:24,000 scale 1991/1991 Dune Acres, IN/ Chesterton, IN, USGS Topographic Quadrangles.
- Use the topographic map at the front of the Indiana Dunes Photographic Essay to match a picture from the Indiana Dunes Photographic Essay with each of the habitats on the overlay. Write the picture number from the Indiana Dunes Photographic Essay that corresponds to one of each of the habitat type. Write the name of the identified habitat near the corresponding picture number.
