Materials:

1:24,000 scale Warrenton-Astoria Topographic Quadrangle
ruler

Exercise:

      1. Use 1:24,000 scale Warrenton-Astoria Topographic Quadrangle.

      2. Examine scale at bottom of page.

      3. Use ruler.

            4.  Measure distance across study site from west to east.
