            Topographic Symbols Chart
            1995 Aerial Photography
             magnifying glass

Exercise:
           1.   Use 1:24,000 scale 1963/80 Delcambre Topographic Quadrangle

           2.   Use the 1995 Aerial Photography covering the same area.

           3.   Use the Topographic Symbols Chart.

           4.   Identify an area of marsh. 

           5.   Identify a drawbridge.

           6.   Identify the following cultural features on the map:
                        a.      school
                        b.      water tower
                        c.      cemetery
                        d.      oil well

           7.   Identify purple areas on the map.

           8.   Can you identify the marsh, tollgate, and oil wells on the 1995 aerial photo?
